This special family is expecting their latest addition any day now! The waiting game is so bittersweet...cherishing those last few days before the birth...the flood of emotions from excitement to nervous anticipation and exhaustion...not to mention enjoying the last moments as a family of three. In just a few days, life will take on a new shape and pace, and of course a mama’s heart just explodes with even more love!

You wouldn’t know it from looking at this glowing woman - she is the picture of relaxed happiness, even with one toddler running circles around everyone. Without an ounce of makeup and her hair still wet from the shower she took just minutes before I showed up, this mama exudes natural beauty. I love the golden colors and tones in their photos - you’d never guess it’s winter here in Santa Barbara. I can't wait for her to give birth so we can do the newborn shoot!

Spring in Santa Barbara is one of my favorite times of the year! The wildflowers take over with their beautiful vibrant colors and make for some stunning backdrops for my outdoor photography sessions. The concept for this photo shoot was to capture the playfulness and high-spirited energy of this sweet girl running amongst the yellow wildflowers. This particular location is a special place for this family... They have been exploring and enjoying this area since their little girl was a baby. I just love everything about these photos... Not only are they beautiful images to look at, they have significant meaning to this family and they will cherish them forever. XOXO

Happy Valentine's Day!!! How adorable are these kiddos! I was cracking up as I edited all these images... So many fun expressions and poses! Where do they come up with this stuff...? Just too Cute! I really LOVE this themed photo shoot I put together for my Valentine's Day Mini Sessions a few weeks back! I like to use simple props that don't over power the photo, but still get the Valentine's Day message across. The children had a blast and loved playing around with the props I had prop along. Lucky for me, I brought extra heart-shaped balloons because they were popping left and right. It was a fun and playful photo shoot filled with smiles and laughter... So cute watching these kiddos get in their element. I wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day and I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do! XOXO

So far, 2014 has been filled with sweetness and love as I've been busy with many newborn photo sessions. What a beautiful way to start the year! With every newborn portrait I create, I am always amazed at these little beings and how different each and every baby is. This particular session was taken outdoors in January! Typically, I would not suggest doing a newborn shoot outside in the middle of winter. However, seeing as how we've had 80 degree weather here in Santa Barbara it's pretty much like summer minus the June gloom. This baby girl had to have been one of the easiest newborns I have ever photographed. She fell peacefully asleep and only woke for a few seconds here and there. What a cutie! I just love the baby rolls and those big pouty red lips... Adorable!

Here is a Holiday Mini Session I did back in December that I had not had the chance to post until now... I just love these images! With the craziness of the Holiday Season, I was unable to post and update my website for a month or so. My time was spent shooting, editing, retouching, making Holiday cards, and doing print orders that I got behind on sharing what I had been creating. I am just now looking back into some of my favorite sessions and this was definitely one of them! What a darling little girl... So much life!

Talk about some cute kiddos! How adorable are these faces! I had the best time photographing this family over the holiday season at the Bacara Beach in Goleta, CA. From October to December, I was booked solid with photo shoots, editing, retouching, print orders, and holiday cards that I am just now getting to posting some of my favorite shoots. This was such a fun outdoor family shoot at the beach... These kiddos had a long car ride up to Santa Barbara for their photo shoot and they were more than excited to run around and explore the surrounding with me documenting. It was a gorgeous winter day in Southern California! Although we don't get snow or much weather in general here in SB, the air felt crisp and cool. The warmth from the sun combine with cool air is all the weather I need! Just perfect!

These adorable children were the winners of a preschool fundraiser that I had donated to this last year. Because I love to help out local Santa Barbara schools in any way I can, each year I donate gift certificates for my services to a number of causes supporting children throughout Santa Barbara County. It is my pleasure to help raise money in hopes to provide support to our local schools and child educators. It puts a smile on my face to know that I can help in some small way... This was an outdoor family photo shoot I did over the holiday season here in Santa Barbara. How cute are these kiddos! Their mama did a great job coordinating outfits... Thanks for the fun shoot!!

Here's another few images from one of my Holiday Mini Session back in December. I am finally getting around to posting some of the photos that I had taken the last couple of months... It really was a busy season this year and I got to capture so many great moments! Holiday Session on the Bluffs- Outdoor Family Photographer, Santa Barbara CA

Love this family photo session out on the bluffs in Santa Barbara. The light was fading quickly and we didn't have much time, but we managed to get some great shots just as the sun was setting on the horizon. It was breezy and cold out, but I just adore these photos and so happy we made this shoot happen. A big thank you to these kiddos for being such good sports even though they really had hoped to catch the end of the 49er game on this late Sunday afternoon. Happy Holidays!

Having photographed these girls a few times over the last year, I didn't think it was possible these sisters could get any more adorable than they already are. However, when they showed up to their photo shoot wearing these adorable hats I was proven very wrong!! How cute are these girls!! Love it! What a fun photo session at Alice Keck Park in downtown Santa Barbara. It was a chilly overcast morning, but that did not stop us from having a ball and capturing these adventurous girls.

Oh, how I just absolutely adore these photos! This photo shoot was not for a client, but for me. I had a vision... I wanted to create something beautiful with the feeling of winter and the approaching holidays. My idea was to express the essence of Christmas in a subtle and beautiful way... I think I got what I was hoping for. This adorable little girl was so excited to put on her white fairy dress and pose for the camera. We went through a TON of glitter and made a huge mess, but I think it was worth every minute we spent sweeping up. Thank you for making my vision come to life! XOXO

Here is another fun photo shoot from my Holiday Mini Sessions! I have had the pleasure of photographing these sisters over the last few years and I always enjoy their sweet little laughs and giggles! We had a great time together and I was able to captured some adorable photos of them as they explored their surroundings. It was a gorgeous morning in Goleta where I was holding a series of Mini Sessions... Although it was cool and overcast, the light was just gorgeous. I am always excited to wake up to fog and overcast weather when I have a photo shoot... It makes for soft beautiful light! Love it!

Words cannot describe how sweet it was to see Chance's 3 big brothers shower him with so much love! It was a beautiful morning in Santa Barbara up on the Mesa... Perfect weather for an indoor window-light photo shoot at my client's home. They had stunning floor to ceiling windows and the light filled the house so beautifully. Just gorgeous! We had hoped to do some newborn photos after Chance's birth, but the photo shoot had to be delayed a few weeks. At 3 months old, this little guy was already so strong holding his head up and giving me the most adorable expressions! What a treat!

I had the privilege of photographing this sweet family at a private beach in Santa Barbara... What a perfect day it was! The cabanas were out, the umbrellas were up, and everyone was having a great time. We walked up the beach to get away from the crowd and the scenery could not have been more gorgeous! I had such a blast photographing these brothers as they ran up and down the shoreline kicking the sand up with their feet. It is these special moments that I am so grateful to capture. When one of my best girlfriends (and an amazing photographer) asked me to photograph her sweet little baby bump, I was more than honored! To be part of this special moment in two peoples lives is such a gift. Needless to say, I was super excited for her maternity photo shoot and knew just the location I wanted to photograph! On my afternoon walks with my sweet little baby boy, there is a magical path we always walk down... It is lined with the most beautiful oaks trees and green vines that climb up the branches. It gives me goosebumps! When the light gets low it looks straight out of a fairy tale, just beautiful! These photos melt my heart... So much love and joy between two amazing people. I am so happy for you two!

Hello little Keegan Montgomery!! It was such a pleasure to meet and photograph this sweet and loving family. I just love the adorable nursery they created for their little man. So much love and creativity was put into making a special space for baby Keegan. It turned out just beautiful!

For the last couple of months, I have been extremely busy with newborn photo sessions... Must be something in the water! :) I am just loving all these sweet little babes, especially since I just had a little guy of my own back in February!! It's so fun to see how different each and every baby is. Newborn sessions are so special and I just love sharing this intimate time with parents and their little bundles!

I had a blast photographing Jen, Brian, and their adorable little boy, Jake, a few weeks back here in Santa Barbara! I can't believe how big Jake has grown! I just adore this sweet family and have grown very close to them over this last year while documenting all the wonderful milestones that have taken place in their lives. From pregnancy to newborn photos and now Jake at 6 months, I am excited share and capture these special moments. It means the world to me to be part of this exciting time! What a fun photo shoot with Natalie and her little brother, Owen! We had a great time out at Goleta Beach on a beautiful Sunday morning. The sun was shining and the kiddos were having a blast...
