Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and safe 4th of July on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. What a spectacular day to celebrate this cherished holiday with our loved ones... The sun is shining, the weather is warm and the beaches are calling my name! It's time to head outdoors and and enjoy this amazing place that we call home. Before I head out to enjoy the day myself, I thought I would quickly share this fun shoot taken out at the Bacara Resort in Goleta, CA. I just adore this red, white, and blue inspired photo session with this sweet little toddler.

Holiday Mini Sessions, Santa Barbara Children Photographer

Nearly 10 years ago when I graduated from the Brooks Institute of Photography and started my journey as a freelance photographer, I never imagined that I would be blessed with such a strong and amazing clientele that would come back year after year. Fast forward to the 2014 holiday season when I was so busy I could barely catch my breath. How things have changed! I want to say a big warm thank you to all of my amazing clients... You allow me to do what I love in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I can’t say enough thanks for the gift of your support and belief in my work! Happy New Year!

This year with so many returning families, many asked for new ideas to enjoy their photos year round. So I’ve been busy making some very cool custom wall designs that allow them to showcase their images at home. The results are stunning and entirely personal!

This photo shoot was one of my Mini Sessions from November. This silly little girl really knows how to bring it! Bonus that her mom loves the creative process and always brings the best props. Her red scarf is such a simple touch, but adds so much to the images. Love these images!

The Fun of Turning 1! Santa Barbara Baby Photographer

It was another glorious morning in Santa Barbara, but for one local family it was a very special day. This bright little girl was celebrating the first of many birthdays to come and her parents were marveling at how quickly the year had gone by.

Capturing baby’s first major milestone is one of my favorite assignments. At this age, baby is on the go, inquisitive about the camera and very amused by all the silly things I do behind the lens to get them giggling and laughing. (And even if I can’t manage to crack a smile, there’s nothing quite as adorable as a little one’s sweet serious face).

This little gal was a ray of sunshine - such a happy baby and just too cute playing with the blocks I had brought for the shoot. Her parents were thrilled with the photos and so grateful to have these beautiful images to mark such a special family time.

I am just in love with the images from this photo shoot! The light, the environment, the clothes... Everything was just perfect! To top it all off, this sweet little girl could not have been more fun to photograph... So much energy, life, and silliness!! LOVE IT! All the bright and fun colors stand so brilliantly off of the natural tones of the environment around us.... Just beautiful! The bluffs of Santa Barbara are truly stunning here in the early summer! As the tall green grass and the wildflowers disappear for the season, our bluffs become a golden field just waiting to be photographed!

I can't believe I am just now posting these beautiful images taken during a photo session way back in March! Where did the time go! It has been a very busy year so far for Rebecca Farmer Photography and I have many new projects in the works that I am very excited about! I am so grateful to all my wonderful clients for coming back year after year and trusting me to creatively document these special moments in time. The photographs I capture will stay with each family forever and that is why I love to do what I do! One of the best parts of being a photographer is to see the smiles and hear the reactions of my clients once they see their images. I love how excited they get once they view all the photographs from their sessions. It is so fun to make people's day by surpassing their expectations of what they thought the images were going to look like! Another reason that I love being a Newborn, Children and Family photographer is that I get to see each individual family grow and to meet their additions along the way... Love it! I have photographed these two red heads multiple times and they just keep getting cuter. How adorable are their blue eyes and bright red hair... So adorable!

I had a blast photographing this cute little surfer chick at Henrdy's Beach this past month! It was a chilly February morning here in Santa Barbara... Burrrr! On my drive to the photo shoot, I was hoping it wasn't going to pour down rain on us. Luckily, we got some beautiful overcast weather and spectacular light. As I was nice and warm with my jeans, sweater and Ugg boots, this girl was a trooper in her bikini. Although her toes were frozen from walking along the shoreline, she didn't seem to mind at all! Thanks for the fun shoot!!

Love this images of my two boys... As I write this post, I hear their laughter and giggles from the other room and it melts my heart. I couldn't imagine our life without these two little beings... I feel so lucky to be their mom! I love this image for so many reason... First off, I feel this image truly captures how sweet these guys are to one another. Secondly, I love their eyes... I could stare at them for hours. Lastly, this image really depicts my children as they are... Shirtless and wearing undies. My heart is full!

These adorable children were the winners of a preschool fundraiser that I had donated to this last year. Because I love to help out local Santa Barbara schools in any way I can, each year I donate gift certificates for my services to a number of causes supporting children throughout Santa Barbara County. It is my pleasure to help raise money in hopes to provide support to our local schools and child educators. It puts a smile on my face to know that I can help in some small way... This was an outdoor family photo shoot I did over the holiday season here in Santa Barbara. How cute are these kiddos! Their mama did a great job coordinating outfits... Thanks for the fun shoot!!
