At one week old, I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little guy and welcome him into the world. Although I had a baby boy this last February, I was still in awe of his petite little features, his wrinkly skin, and those sweet newborn baby noises. It is so easy to forget how tiny these little ones are in those first few weeks of life... I am so happy to have captured this moment in time for this sweet family! Lots of love to you all!

Every year I donate an outdoor family photo session to the Santa Barbara Montessori School for their annual fundraiser and auction. Their event is always spectacular and I love to help out this amazing school in any way I can. This sweet family won my donation this year! I could not have been more excited when these 3 adorable little girls showed up for their photo session. They were so excited to put on their pink dresses and play with all the fun props I brought along. We had an amazing afternoon together running through the grass and getting our feet wet in the tide.

Here was a portrait session I photographed this past summer that I just loved, but realized I never posted the photos! It was a gorgeous evening out at the Bacara Beach with the sun hidden behind a light layer of clouds. A perfect setting for some beautiful outdoor family photos! I never really know how it will go when including animals into a photo session. Sometimes it can go great and other times, not so much. However, I am always willing to give it a try! These two pups were amazing and I was so lucky to capture the special bond between this family and their furry friends.

As I sit here trying to work, this is who I share my day with. He is awfully distracting with his big blue eyes and those kissable red lips! I just couldn't resist dropping everything to capture this adorable little guy as he was rolling around on the bed. What a happy baby he is... Always full of smiles! Feeling so blessed for this sweet baby boy!

Some people are just born to be in front of the camera! This adorable little girl was such a pleasure to photograph. She was so easy to work with and a natural when it came to following direction. Having photographed many professional models throughout my career as a photographer, I have to say this sweet little girl was as good as any pro! Words cannot describe how sweet it was to see Chance's 3 big brothers shower him with so much love! It was a beautiful morning in Santa Barbara up on the Mesa... Perfect weather for an indoor window-light photo shoot at my client's home. They had stunning floor to ceiling windows and the light filled the house so beautifully. Just gorgeous! We had hoped to do some newborn photos after Chance's birth, but the photo shoot had to be delayed a few weeks. At 3 months old, this little guy was already so strong holding his head up and giving me the most adorable expressions! What a treat!

Here is a fun shoot from my recent Summer Mini Sessions! It was a gorgeous afternoon out at La Mesa Park in Santa Barbara, CA. The sun was shining through the trees and there was not a cloud in the sky... Just perfect! These sisters were adorable in their cute little dresses and hats. With two little boys at home, I just love to be a girly girl at times! Even though we only had about 20 minutes, we had a fun little tea party together and got some very adorable photos! So much fun!

Such a pleasure to photograph this beautiful family once again for my Summer Mini Sessions in Santa Barbara, CA! I always love seeing my clients year after year... I get to watch and document such a special time in their lives. I can't believe it's been a whole year since I have seen this little guy... Where does the time go! Having two small children myself, it seems like they will be in diapers forever and that they will always need you to watch, listen, and chase after them as they explore the world. However, I have to remind myself that one day, not too long from now, they will become more independent and start to explore the world on their own. We all must remember to cherish these moments now and live in the present. Maybe the laundry is overflowing and the house looks less than perfect, but as my 4 year old would say "Who cares!"

I had the best time photographing this little guy during my annual Summer Mini Sessions last month! What a cutie!! This handsome little boy was all smiles for the camera... making my job incredibly easy. :) He had us all laughing and giggling at his adorable expressions and sweet demeanor. We had a great photo shoot in Santa Barbara under the beautiful eucalyptus trees up on the Mesa. We are so lucky to live in such a gorgeous city with the most amazing locations for outdoor family photo shoots!

Oh, how I love a western cowboy themed photo shoot! This family showed up in the most adorable country attire... I love how it is just the right amount of country with a little hint of a modern flare. So cute! We had a great time out on the bluffs in Santa Barbara... The sun was shining through the tall eucalyptus trees and the light was raking across the ground. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to take some adorable outdoor family portraits!

What a beautiful photo shoot with my little sister, Bella, and her best friend, Pal, at a gorgeous ranch in Simi Valley, Ca. Ever since I can remember, Bella has had an obsession with horses... Being 18 years older than my little sister, I remember her as a tiny baby in awe of the horses on our street as we strolled past for our morning walks. As she has grown older, her love for horses has grown as well... It is hard to believe that so many years have passed, but one thing remains the same... Her connection to these beautiful creatures. It was so fun to visit and photograph the ranch where she spends most of her days riding and enjoying these precious moments with her very own horse, Pal. I love these portraits of them together... It really captures the essence of their special bond.

The photo above has to be one of the cutest photo of my sweet little Wilder! I spent the weekend down south visiting family and of course I had to snap some photos while my mother held my little cutie pie on her lap. It was the most hilarious thing watching all of his expression unfold as I edited through the images, but this particular image is my ultimate favorite. I love this photo for so many reason... First off, the tongue is just too funny! I am not sure why he does this all the time, but I must say it is the cutest thing in the world. Secondly, the light that afternoon was amazingly gorgeous! Lastly, I love the way my mother is looking so sweetly at my baby boy... So much love for such a sweet little boy.

One of my favorite things about being a children and family photographer is that I get to see many of these kids year after year. I get to watch them grow and develop their funny little personalities... Such a joy! They get to know me, and I, them. I photographed this sweet girl a couple years back for their family Christmas photos. Even though I have two kids of my own, I still am amazed at how quickly children grow and change! Makes me want to go photograph my children this moment just to capture them as they are today. How does time fly by so fast?

I had the privilege of photographing this sweet family at a private beach in Santa Barbara... What a perfect day it was! The cabanas were out, the umbrellas were up, and everyone was having a great time. We walked up the beach to get away from the crowd and the scenery could not have been more gorgeous! I had such a blast photographing these brothers as they ran up and down the shoreline kicking the sand up with their feet. It is these special moments that I am so grateful to capture. Another gorgeous day in Santa Barbara! The sun was out, the weather was warm... Perfect day for a family photo shoot! These two boys had me hustling and bustling to get what I needed, but I was more than happy to! I just love catching those genuine moments when kids are in their element unaware that I am snapping away. It always makes my days when parents are amazed once they see their photos... Although the sky was in a haze from a recent fire near Painted Cave and the wind was blowing in full force, this was a family of troopers! The weather conditions were not ideal for outdoor family photos, but I am so happy that we made it happen. The light was gorgeous from all the smoke in the sky (probably the only positive thing about the fire) and these adorable kids were having a blast. Being from out of town, this family just loved it here out on the bluff and the children played until the sun went down. Such a lovely memory for this family... Thanks for trusting me and going with the flow!

When one of my best girlfriends (and an amazing photographer) asked me to photograph her sweet little baby bump, I was more than honored! To be part of this special moment in two peoples lives is such a gift. Needless to say, I was super excited for her maternity photo shoot and knew just the location I wanted to photograph! On my afternoon walks with my sweet little baby boy, there is a magical path we always walk down... It is lined with the most beautiful oaks trees and green vines that climb up the branches. It gives me goosebumps! When the light gets low it looks straight out of a fairy tale, just beautiful! These photos melt my heart... So much love and joy between two amazing people. I am so happy for you two!

It is very important to me to support local schools and charities in Santa Barbara County, so each year I donate about 5 to 10 photo session to help support the educational system in our area. I hope my donations make a difference and that we can all somehow contribution to our future generations. These were the lucky winners of one of my donations! It was a magical evening out at the Elwood Bluffs in Goleta... The sun was peeking out between the puffy white clouds and the light was just gorgeous! These kiddos were having a blast running amongst the eucalyptus trees and the grassy brush. I just love all the beautiful colors! Thanks for a wonderful photo shoot!

What a perfect day for a photo shoot here in Santa Barbara!! I am just loving all the beautiful colors of spring... So re-feshing and inspiring! The wild flowers in bloom are just gorgeous and make the perfect background for some beautiful family photos. These two sisters we so fun to photograph...
